A reception for the retrospective by Allan Tannenbaum titled New York in the 70s was held at the gallery Saturday February 4, 2012 from 3-6pm. Allan was available to answer questions, sign his books, and discuss his work at Emerge Fine Art. This was in conjunction with Center Stage's February 4th concert by David Dorfman Dance, performing "Prophets of Funk," featuring the 70s music of Sly & the Family Stone at Center Stage on the NCSU campus and was in affiliation with a lecture Mr. Tannenbaum gave at NC State on February 6th. The gallery's Grand Opening was held on November 9th, 2011 from 6-9pm. The Master of Ceremonies for the event was NC State's Associate Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, Alex Miller, and the ribbon cutting featured Secretary of NC Department of Cultural Resources, Linda Carlisle. Gallery represented artists Bob Rankin and Annette Buckner Hall were also on hand for the event. Images Below.
