Ulysses Jackson is a North Carolina born artist living and working in upstate New York. To inspire his work, Ulysses is a passionate researcher with a range of interest and specializations bridging the arts and sciences. 

In his paintings he attempts to bring together a synthesis of all facets of his knowledge-base into a visualization of the world around us. This is based on a belief that the environments we are in offer a vast amount of content and information that we choose to look past.  Ulysses feels his paintings are successful if they cause a viewer to have a sensation of excitement for the details they see soon thereafter: a flash of light, shapes in the pavement, or pattens in nature. 

Additionally, Ulysses is a  research and development scientist  for Golden Artist Colors which  offers him the  unique ability to control and modify his paint above and beyond what is available to most artists. This allows him to push the limits of what paint can do and gives him full control over his medium.
